David A. Matheson, M.S., LPC

David is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Salt Lake City. His clinical focus is on helping men who want to diminish unwanted homosexuality and feel whole as men.

His professional training began in the early 1990s as he served in various capacities within Evergreen International. He has lectured, taught workshops, and given commentary on radio and television advocating for the possibility of change. Furthermore, he has diligently researched and written on the change process. In 2000, Evergreen honored him with their "Beacon of Light" award.

David received his Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Guidance from Brigham Young University in 1996. Afterwards he practiced for seven years as a psychological assistant under Dr. Joseph Nicolosi. In 2002, David went into private practice in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 2007 he relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah.

From 2001 until 2011, he was involved extensively in People Can Change, serving as a co-founder and member of its board of directors. He co-created the Journey into Manhood experiential weekend with Rich Wyler and the Journey Beyond weekend with Alan Downing.

In addition, In addition to many smaller papers and articles, he has authored the Evergreen Workbook for Men and the long-awaited Becoming A Whole Man, which is due for release in the summer of 2012.
